feeling tired, happy, exhausted, cold, caffeined, cookied, bread topped, and ready. DisBand Melbourne wrap up will come. I promise. but for now, here are my three new artworks! they are still for sale in the gallery and of course online. you even get 15% off TODAY ONLY. they are over at Leeloo.com.au, use the code DisBand15 for the 15% off. most of the unsold arts are reduced, honestly, they are amazing! don’t miss out.
peeps. I am in Melbourne (hello dream city!!), getting ready and keeping busy! opening night is THIS THURSDAY!! (Yikes!) at No Vacancy Gallery and I really really really really really hope to see you there. I also hope you already know all the details, but if you don’t please find them all here.
Melbourne peeps! I would love to see you at the gallery, so many awesome art works to feast your eyes on. Will try and keep everyone updated as the fun unfolds.
and no. I certainly don’t mean in the geeky nanna sense. (although my nan does have some pretty awesome scrapbooks). I mean. that every time I seem to go anywhere. I end up with piles of paper that I can’t seem to throw away. I would make “pin boards” but all my walls would be covered. I can’t believe I didn’t think to scrap them into a book sooner. that way. I can have hundreds of tiny books filled with paper junk. rather than just piles of junk. everybody wins!
[beautiful holiday random scrapbooks from Beci Orpin. a perfect reminder for me that these sorts of things don't neeeeeeed planning perfection to be visually perfect.]
just a couple of things I had “pinned” over at Pinterest. have you heard of this fabulous bookmarking website? shout out if you want a referral or whatever it is called. can you tell I have a funny little obsession with all things green at the moment?
daily imprint, the blog of Real Living Deputy Ed Natalie Walton (writer and stylist extraordinaire!) has been a daily read of mine for… I don’t know… ever? I just don’t know how Natalie manages to interview and find sooooo many creatively awesome people, sharing their stories with us. some of my favourite interviews so far include the inspirational Kirsten Bookalill, the gorgeous Ebony Bizys of Hello Sandwich, the truly amazing Sibella Court and the lovely Lisa Gorman. But then again, that list is in no way conclusive, and really only because I can only fit 4 images in my little layout thingo.
Natalie herself is an absolute sweetheart. I have had the huge pleasure of collaborating with Natalie on a shoot for an upcoming issue of Real Living (excitement!). She is so sweet and calm and lovely and is someone who has motivated me to keep on trying! Oh… and perhaps I should mention that she interviewed me too… an absolute privilege… thank you so much!
I am always drawn to the natural and the simple. the plain and the pretty. I think it always comes back to the fact that I had a super bright bedroom as a teen, and I now have super bright purple walls in my rental that makes me constantly crave neutral colours. or at the very least simplified colour.
anyway, how amazing are the perfectly simple products from gorgeous online shop Neëst. oh so French, and oh so très naturel et joli.
