ok. hands up if you are a little neurotic about replying to comments, but sort of get a little bit annoyed about the fact that if you want the commenter to actually see your reply you have to either see if they have a blog, and go leave them a comment there (and they probably think, what the fo’ is this woman on about?! because the comment has no relevance to their post) or email them. You can of course just reply in your original post, but the chances of the commenter seeing it are pretty slim, because I don’t know about you, but I rarely go back and check to see if I have been replied to.
*deep breath*
WELL! Look what I found people. a super super amazing plugin (for wordpress only I am sorry!! but all the more reason for you to make the switch!) that not only replies to the comment in the actual post, but SENDS the commenter an email, with a nice customised subject and their original comment and post link in the email. woah. does that make sense? basically it cuts all that doubling up. you reply on your blog. they get an email. everybody wins!! at least in my world.
so what are you waiting for wordpressers?? go download the crap out of this plugin now! oh, and try it out. leave me a comment, I will reply, and you just wait and see what happens. ha.
